Mukuro Ikusaba
Mukuro Ikusaba is the Ultimate Mercenary/Soldier and she is also Ultimate Despair alongside her twin sister, Junko Enoshima. She in introduced in the very beginning, disguised as Junko Enoshima as she controls everything behind the scenes. When asked why she doesn't look like she does on the cover of Junko's magazines, she says that it's all thanks to photo editing. Mukuro and Junko had snuck into the school two years prior and had befriended all of their classmates, thus bringing more despair towards themselves when they had to kill them. Mukuro and Junko had also set up a scheme where when Mukuro, as Junko, attacked Monokuma, she would be thrown into a prison but Junko betrayed her and had her killed using multiple spears that shot through her body. In the game's extras, in an alternate timeline where Makoto remembered everything, it is revealed that Mukuro had a crush on Makoto and Makoto was going out with Kirigiri. It ends with Mukuro saving Makoto from death and Junko decides to say goodbye to her older twin sister, thus severing ties between the two sisters. She also plays a huge role in the prequel novel that revealed that she tried to bring back junko when she was going through a memory wipe, testing it on herself before using it on the students in the Dangan Ronpa game. She had saved Makoto from Isshiki Madarai which trying to kill him. She acts emotionless and indifferent towards everyone except Makoto and Junko as she loyally follows her younger sister's instructions and she still holds feelings towards Makoto, as it is revealed in Dangan Ronpa IF, the alternate timeline novel.
